Hellloooooo Martin!

So it happened. I sold my Takamine guitar (the black one). I know I said before that I would never sell her, but I guess I outgrew her. She will be missed, but I know she’s being taken care of.

Allow me to introduce the new Martin DC-16RGTE AURA. I went down to SD with Johnny and Jenny and we visited some people at UCSD, ate some pretty good food, and checked out Buffalo Brothers. I thought Guitar Center was cool until I went to BB.

They have a very impressive spread of guitars, and they really provide a nice way of letting you sit around and check them out. At GC, the people there are mostly rockers and whatnot who like playing stuff to show off their skills (which they don’t really have… but still have more than me). But at BB, it’s just real quiet and you really get a sense of being able to make the best decision for your purchase.

Also at BB are the awesome Goodall guitars, which range from about 4000-8000 dollars. They are beautiful. We made the mistake of playing with them first before looking for a suitable guitar for me. (Crikey, why won’t any of these guitars sound like a Goodall!)
