I was walking back home from Chinese last week, when I found out that the quad I usually walk through was closed off. In the center was this huge bonfire set up, which is cool because bonfires are cool. But no, this was no ordinary bonfire. It was connected to about maybe 8 tanks of something very flammable. And there was a security guard around it 24 hours.

Anyway, it turned out to be a film set for Jim Carrey’s next movie, The Number 23.

But we couldn’t see what was happening because we were good boys and went to fellowship at church. And as much as it would have been fun to run up to Jim Carrey and show him the faces and lines I’ve imitated from his movies, our first small group night at TURF was… AWESOME.
