Gallery Update
April 16th, 2005 Entries
Hey Gallery Users! [on Awaitingtheday.com, I mean]
Gallery is completely fixed! You might have to rehighlight some of your albums and stuff… but otherwise, everything is fine. There should be no problem moving around photos from album to album and stuff like that anymore. Yay!
GIVEBLOOD
April 11th, 2005 Entries
Today, I donated blood. It was real fun, and I’m sure it will be really rewarding. In the future, I plan on giving more blood. You might say, “Dan, I thought you were stingy!” But… remember… blood is free. And I don’t mind passing on free stuff to other people, especially if they need it too. Well, that and the fact that the Red Cross gave me… 3 bags of cookies, 1 Coke, 3 Livestrong-like GIVEBLOOD bands, 3 bumper stickers, 3 stickers, and 1 T-shirt. Red Cross, I heart you!
These past few school events have been fun. There was the mulch sale–I like flexing my brawn. And then there was Jazzercise with Kevin and Mike. Okay, we didn’t stay that long, but it was… dare I say… “amusing.” And it was hard too. I sweated like a pig in Jazzercise.
So… give blood! It might make you a little tired and dizzy especially during a vball game, but hey, that’s OK! I can’t believe how some people took 25 minutes to draw blood (cough, Tyler!). It only took me 1.5 minutes. I like watching the blood flow from my body and into a baggie and then also 5 tubie things.
Oh, and if you haven’t noticed… added some links to the top of gallery– kinda fun to click and see what comes up!
Beautiful Shades of Purple and Pink
April 8th, 2005 Entries, Noteworthy
Another year, another injury. This is probably the most disgusting-looking sprain I have ever gotten. But since it’s only my third sprain ever… that doesn’t mean much.
The weirdest part is the brusing around the toes. My coach and ex-coach (way to run off to another school, Trail) were like… “uh, we think that you really need to get that checked out by a doctor.” So off I went to Kaiser Permanente to take some X-rays. I found out two things: it is ONLY a sprain. Nothing else. And the second thing I learned was that I have really long toes. But for now, I’m on the Air Brace thing.
This weekend is going to be mucho fun. Volleyball game, mulch sale, take-home physics test, English process paper, quotes and responses paper, calc and stat homework, and then finishing my year-in-review article and my humor column. Oh joy!
