Atlanta, Georgia

Don’t know really how to write all this… so here are some random thoughts!

-Independence Air is cool because it has guest speakers do the safety features thing. Aka Mia Hamm and Chuck Barry giving cheesy monologues to the standard “In case of emergency…” speeches.

-A lot of people smoke in Atlanta. A lot of people are hobos in Atlanta. Or maybe I need to get out more

-I heart Coca-Cola. Coca-Cola is the best thing that ever happened to man. Gosh, I can’t get enough of it. I was disappointed that Hard Rock Cafe served Pepsi products, so I got a water.

-All hotel bathrooms, especially if they are as expensive as the Hyatt, need those air vent things, cause those rooms can get pretty stinky pretty quickly.

-While I was waiting for the MARTA, this guy asked for some food. So I gave him a Snickers bar. Then he said that it was because he just got out of jail. Way to make things awkward! But yeah… good luck to him with that.

Eh… I think there was more, but I have lots of homework, and I kinda forgot the rest. Oh well. It’s not like anyone of utmost importance reads this anyway.

Props to the best friend for the great food. And now that I know where you stay and what friends you hang out with… I can rest easy.

Grace and eXR

I love it when I stress out entirely too much, only to find out that something really great happens which helps it all out. It’s like a gift you don’t deserve but you get it anyway!

Today in first period, we came up with the best idea for a club. Remember the good old days of kickball, four-square, capture the flag, and dodgeball during recess? What if you could relive all those moments of glory, once again, even if you’re in high school. If so, join the Extreme Recess club!

Yes, we’re probably really going to go through with this. So many people have showed a lot of enthusiasm for it… just today! And these are people that normally do not get involved with after school activities either. Anyway… we need to plan out stuff during the winter and the tournaments will begin in the spring. It’ll be really awesome. You make your own team which has to participate in each event, which will be required to adhere to official rules. And plus, your team has to get matching uniforms and stuff like that.

We’ll iron out the details later. But I love how one idea can get you so excited and motivated to get it out there.

It never ends, does it?

Well, one quarter of the school is over, and there’s three more. One app down, and four more due December. It’s as if, the more I finish, the more that piles up on me. But there are two things that I know:

1) I can do it. Or mostly… they HAVE to get done, so there’s no point in crying about it.

2) I need to be more disciplined. I’m the type that gets easily distracted, sidetracked, and whatnot. Man… I think this is the hardest one.

So I really need to get cracking, once again, this quarter. And the thing is… I’m already not doing so well. So I can’t rely on curves, or more tests or stuff to average the grades out. Bummer, eh?

Went to the Maryland Scholastic Press Association Convention today. Yay Rampage for doing well. It was fun hanging out with Rachel, Stephanie, Monica, and Eli.
